Family Time – An afternoon at Highlands Park

Hi guys! Today I thought it would be nice to share with you some of the pictures I took whilst on an outing with the family. The weather has been so nice this week that’s we decided to get outdoors and take advantage of the sunshine.

On this occasion we visited Highlands Park, which we are very lucky to have so local to us. If you didn’t know already this is a huge country park and stately home that also plays host to V-Festival every August.

Anyway with spring definitely sprung we had a lovely walk with our dog Izzie before some naughty treats from the stables courtyard  coffee shop.

I just had to have one of their cadburys creme egg brownies with my latte, it was AMAZING!!

The kids then let of some steam in the huge adventure playground area whilst hubby and I chilled for a short while with a good book each.

We spent a fair bit of time skimming stones on the lake. Izzie then enjoyed a game of fetch, with a stick we had picked up, along the way.

This tree I found particularly Interesting, before I had read the information board I thought it reminded me of witches. I wasn’t wrong , apparently walnut trees are supposed to be haunted by witches.

If you are in the Chelmsford/Essex area then Highlands park is a place I would highly recommend visiting.

Have you been up to anything interesting over Easter?

Bye for now, Katy 🙂
