Finally I got my mitts on September’s Blogger Beauty Box, typically out was out when delivery was first attempted then Royal Mail decided to break their computer system.
Any way minor drama over I’m glad to say the box was worth waiting for.
The Blogger Beauty Box created by Vix Meldrow as a way of connecting make-up and beauty brands with bloggers. Priced at £10 including postage it really is a good opportunity to try out some new brands that may not necessarily appear on your radar alongside other more well-known brands.
This months box contained a good mix of skin care and make-up items. So let’s dig in a see what I received.
BeautifulMovementsCosmetics lip gloss £12
This is a full size product that pays for the box alone so we are off to a good start.
Beautiful Movement cosmetics are a cruelty free make-up brand created by Kimberly Wyatt and Laura Mccomiskie.
I received the shade gypsy spirit which is a super pig mannered coral shade.
To complement this I then received Makeup Revolution lipstick in the shade Divine. I love Makeup revolution lipsticks they are superb quality and a bit of a steal at only £1.
Next up is the skincare items. I have wanting to try something from yes to for a long time, so was pleased to see a packet of yes to blues berries Age Refresh facial towelettes.
Now I’m not someone who usually uses face wipes unless travelling. Fortunately I’m off on my travels next month to Las Vegas so these I’m saving to take with me. The fact that they are 96% natural and free from parabens is a big tick from me.
Next up is a 10ml sample of Yours Truly Organics fix me repairing serum.
I have tried this before and it is a very zesty smelling serum as it contains orange oil. I have to say I wasn’t totally sold the first time due to the texture but I’m always willing to give something a second chance.
Last but not least is a hand cream from a brand that I have not come across before. This is SniffyWiffy, just putting it out there that I love the name.
This is a small family company who are on a mission to encourage men and women to be checking themselves for possible cancerous lumps. Each product features a how to on the packaging which I think is a brilliant ideas. The company also make a portions of donation to Breast and testicular cancer charities.
The products themselves are made from no more than 5 ingredients meaning no nasties being added. All products are available in a wide range of scents or can be made scent free.
I received a sample of Apricot Pear. I can’t comment on how it smells at the moment as I have such a bad cold, It is a lovely thick cream that absorbs well though.
This is a great box so I have already signed up to receive Octobers box. Well done Vix and Neesha you girls worked so hard to produce a service that had beauty bloggers at the heart of it.
