3 New Lip products from Phase Zero

Beauty subscription service Love Me Beauty has recently gone through a big change. In February it launched new make-up brand Phase Zero, doing away with its previous points system and menu of popular beauty brands. As a 3 month gift membership holder I would be lying If I claimed I was over the moon about this, it wasn’t what I had signed up for. However already committed to at least one month I had nothing to lose by placing an order from the brands first offerings. I ordered 1 shade from the 3 available formulas of  lip products. These are a liquid lipstick, a lip gloss and a lip topper.

Now that I have had a chance to try them out it is time to give you my verdict. Happily I can say I’m pleasantly surprised.

The brand has been developed with the feedback of Love Me Beauty customers and  industry experts to offer a colour make-up brand that fulfils beauty lovers wants and needs. This has clearly paid off.

The Liquid Lipstick

Liquid lipsticks are known for often being drying and uncomfortable to wear. This really isn’t the case with this formula, I have been reaching for it on a daily basis. I do feel your lips need to be in good condition as any dryness or flakiness will be magnified, particularly with this shade Pink Suede. It’s a gorgeous ‘my lips but better shade’ and using a lip scrub before application corrects this.

The Lip gloss

I’m not one to wear lip gloss very often. The glossy look appeals to me but I hate sticky formulas. I was really pleased to find that the formula of this is not at all sticky. This shade Goth Gloss is strongly pigmented and wears longer than a lot of other lip glosses I have tried.

The Lip Topper

I was expecting this product to be a glitter suspended in a gloss. It actually has more of a liquid lipstick consistancy and dries down in the similar way. Again it feels very comfortable to wear. I think this will be a great product to have on hand for quickly switching a look from day to evening. The shade Pink Prosseco pairs perfectly with the liquid lipstick in Pink Suede.

Best of all it doesn’t budge. This picture below is after I have dragged my finger across the dry swatches.

The lip products are all priced at £3.50 for Love Me Beauty Members, or £12 for non-members. Membership is £5 a month to new sign ups. This gives you access to products discounted by 77% and member exclusive free product samples.

It is a very limited range at the moment but will see further launches in the future. I hope that more shades are released soon. This month will see eyeshadow become available.
