Inspired by Game of Thrones – A super feminine and easy hairstyle

Hi guys! Today I have for you a little hair post. I am a real novice when it comes to styling my hair, call it years of laziness when it was easier to just straighten life of it, rather than learn some interesting styling techniques.

Fortunately thanks to the wonder that is the internet, I am getting a bit better, the girl can do fishtail plaits now. Whoop Whoop!

So anyway I’ve digressed a bit, my inspiration for this hairstyle has come from having a bit of a box set marathon watching ‘game of thrones’. Aside from the fact that the show itself is so darn good I loving watching it to see the costumes and hairstyles aswell. The ladies hair styles are just stunning. They are so feminine and beautifully intricate.

I spent a fair bit of time looking at screenshots on the web, this is just a small fraction of them. If you want some hair for inspiration I urge you to have a trawl through the many pictures out there.

I had ago at styling my hair in a similar way to one of the simpler styles. I am so pleased with the results, I recon I’m going to be rocking similar looks a lot this summer.

This was so easy to do I just plaited or twisted sections of hair whilst pinning them back with Kirby grips. You can do as many as you like, I made three on each side of my head. I then secured the hair at the back of my head with a jewelled hair comb.  After spraying the hair with some texturising wax I was done.

Fortunately my hair has a natural wave so I didn’t have to worry about creating the waves featured in a most of the looks. You can create natural waves though with a little forward planning. Just before going to bed pop a couple of plaits in your hair, then when you take them out in the morning you will be left with wavy hair. I find this is also a great time saver on busy mornings.

That’s all from me today, if you have any hair styling tips please share, I really want to be wearing my hair in more interesting ways.

Bye for now, Katy 🙂
