Hi guys! Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite budget make-up items. The standard and variety of budget make-up available in the uk has grown immensely in the past year, thanks to the likes of Make-up Revolution and MUA. Traditional budget brands have really had to up their game in order to compete, which is all the better for us beauty make-up junkies who love a bargain.
So without further ado, as promised, these are my current top budget items all of which are a steal at under £4.
Rimmel brow this way – £4
This is such a great brow gel, if your after a super quick natural brow. My shade is medium brown, which matches my natural hair perfectly. I use this for everyday looks as it helps to quickly fill in the gaps and add some much needed depth and definition to my brow. I was previously using Maybelline brow drama, but the slimmer brush here allows for a more precise application, plus it’s a £1 cheaper.
MUA undressed palette – £4
This was probably the original Urban Decay Naked Palette dupe, there are loads to choose from out there now though. This has to be my favourite still. All the colours are nicely pigmented, not to chalky and blend out nicely. If you can’t afford to part with £37 pound for the original then you can create the same looked with this at a purse friendly £4.
Wilko – smokey eye brush £3
I stumbled upon this a good few months back when I popped into Wilkinson’s for something completely unmake-up related, I can’t remember what now though. Like a magpie I spotted these shiny new brushes, instantly. I made the mistake of having a feel of the demo ones, the fibres are so soft I wanted them all. Alas the other ones that had caught my eye were out of stock so I quickly grabbed this one while I could.
This has to be my go to brush, I use it more than my Real Techniques eye brushes can you beleive.
The domed end is just the right size for apply colour to my crease and the narrow end is perfect for popping a fine smudge of smokey colour under the eyes.
I can’t say enough good things about this brush, it even washes up well.
ELF Mineral eyeshadow primer – £3.50 now £1.40
This stuff is Just brilliant, it’s cheap and it works. The doe foot applicator is ideal for applying straight to the eye, Its easy then to just blend it out with my fingers.
If you are making an E.L.F order then it really is worth adding this to it. Annoyingly I’ve just discovered the E.L.F website is shutting down but you can still get it from Iherb Here priced $3.
MUA lipstick – £1
I just love MUA lipsticks they are nice and creamy, have a good accessible shade range and are so darn cheap. This is my favourite one a lovely coral colour, it is shade 16, nectar. I used it in this FOTD Here if you are intrested in seeing it in action.
